Help For Health Completes Initial LipoLaser Statistical Analysis
We have just completed a preliminary statistical analysis of LipoLaser inch-loss data obtained from the first subset of 200 clients that have undergone LipoLaser Body Sculpture Treatments for waistline reduction.
Note that we typically report the total of 3 measurements taken - just above, at, and just below the waist. The first step was to construct a histogram of the data to determine whether standard statistical analysis is appropriate. The key characteristic is the appearance of a "normal" or bell-shaped histogram. Another primary consideration is the presence of a significant number of "outliers", or data points located far away from the data as a whole. Fortunately, the histogram appeared sufficiently bell-shaped and contained only one "outlier". Using standard statistical approaches, we found the median measurement, the measurement that divided the data into two halves, to be 1.375 inches. The mean or average of the three measurement total was 1.29 inches, or 0.432 inches reduction per measurement. The standard deviation is 1.04 inch. The determination that the histogram is fairly normal or bell-shaped, along with the determination of the standard deviation, allows us to make the following statement:
We can be confident that 80% of the measurements experienced by our clients will fall in the range of the mean plus or minus 1.241 times the standard deviation. In other words, the data indicates that 80% of clients will experience inch loss which will fall somewhere between 2.59 inches and 0.0 inches. We are pleased to be able to confirm the effectiveness of the LipoLaser Body Sculpturing Method. We believe it to be an effective tool in achieving spot body contouring. We can augment the gains the customer achieves with this method with many other approaches, including, lymph treatments, sauna treatments and Microcurrent body and face-lift treatments available at our facility.
